Supported Independent Living

Gleam Support Services provides high-quality Supported Independent Living (SIL) services to people with disabilities living in Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, Lake Macquarie and the surrounding Hunter Valley region. Supported Independent Living enables people with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes or shared accommodation, with the support of trained and experienced disability support workers.

 

Our SIL services are designed to meet the individual needs of each person we support. We can assist with daily living activities, community access, domestic assistance and more. We also provide a range of other services, including day programs, to help people with disabilities lead full and active lives.

Located in Cliftleigh, our SIL Accommodation provides a safe and supportive living environment for people with disabilities. The house is designed to promote independence, with individual bedrooms and shared living areas. Our support workers are available 24/7 to provide assistance as needed.

NDIS Funding for SIL Services

If you are a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participant, you may be eligible to receive funding for our SIL Accommodation. This funding can be used to cover the cost of accommodation and support services. The NDIS determines eligibility for funding.
